Biography:

MIA PRESLEY was born in Hollywood to a Jewish/Hungarian Mother and Brazilian Father. She danced before she walked and was singing before she talked. She may have been born with “it” but perfect practice makes perfect. Her first Ballet class was when she was two and she continued to study the rigid technique through her college years, expanding of course to Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Ballroom, Fossy and Ethnic. Attending Cal State Fullerton for Dance Performance and continuing studies in Los Angeles at the professional studios, Edge and Millennium. Studying with vocal coach Seth Riggs daughter and Peshia McPhee. She began a recording career with her first music producer David Alvarado and recorded her first album of Dance music when she was 21. This record lead to a European tour and a buy out by Olvum Records, as well as a write up in URB periodical, listing her and the song “Desert Road” on the top ten for the year. The song was also used in the movie “Back Dad Café”. She is now internalizing her love of Dance, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, Folk, Rock, Motown, Latin to create a new pop sound soon to be heard by the masses. Upon returning to Los Angeles she found her niche in Burlesque Dance, finally something where she could be super sexy without getting in trouble for it, and she began dancing in Las Vegas offering several opportunities for dance, she began dancing in many major casinos as a Burlesque Headliner. Mia has since been in development of her own Modern Burlesque/Vocal group and private lounge named “Voyeur™” WWW.VOEURBURLESQUE.COM now debuting in local Hollywood and National venues. And can be booked through her production company WWW.APT9PRODUCTIONS.COM Mia started modeling as a young teen runway model, appeared in Allure Magazine and in her late teens she was crowned Miss Teenage California in 1997. She progressed into a successful career as a swimwear model followed by lingerie and swimwear modeling in her early twenties.
